During our early outreach, we discovered something both hopeful and heartbreaking:
For approximately Ksh 20,000 (abouts $200), a student can be sponsored for an entire year of secondary school education.
While this amount may seem modest, it remains out of reach for many families. As a result, countless bright and motivated students are forced to abandon their education — not because of lack of ability, but because of lack of opportunity. The DWD Foundation exists to close this gap.
We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a future filled with possibility, regardless of their financial situation.
To make education accessible to children from disadvantaged communities by mobilizing resources, sponsorship, and community support that remove financial barriers to schooling.
A Kenya where no child is denied education because of poverty, and where every learner has the chance to unlock their full potential.
We are guided by three core beliefs:
Through sponsorship programs, essential support, and partnerships with communities, we aim to open doors — one child at a time.
